I’ll be straight with you (even though it may be that I don’t even know you): I am failing math, and I really have no motivation to do any science, so I’m behind in that as well. I’m technically a senior in home-school high but it’s looking as though I will be graduating “a year late”. Needless to say, I’m less than pleased. But it’s not as if I’m too keen on devoting three months to nothing but biology, algebra and anatomy (the last, I will say, though, is of some interest to me). So I started this blog. For years (years) we have had this site- it used to be filled with reports about the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks, but now that is all gone…I’m not actually sure what happened to it, but good riddance. It was dumb. I was ten or eleven.
So now I’ll be blogging about my scholastic experiences / journeys. I am living way too full a life to focus on graduating, and I suppose I like it that way. I like randomly taking off to Philadelphia for the day to go to a museum, spending all day with friends in Boston doing random things and thinking of how we can call it school, or taking a week off to work on a congressional campaign. Over all, I feel a whole lot more cultured for the “field trips” and much more prepared for the world than I would if I spent every day at a desk. So yeah. Although I would like to be graduated “on time”, I guess that just doesn’t work into my life.
So I’m Lydia, and this is my blog.
P. S. If title of my blog is somewhat confusing to you, it is probably because you are unfamiliar with this mnemonic for the order of classification in biology- ‘King Phillip Cried Out, “For Goodness’ Sake”‘ = Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species, if I am correct.
It just seemed fitting.
